Iran cinemas screen Ida Panahandeh short films

Iranian cinemas are currently screening Ida Panahandeh’s films in Tehran, Mashhad, Isfahan, Babol, Kerman and Shiraz.

‘City Lights’, ‘Winter’s Flowers’, ‘Solar Lamp’ and ‘Prince’s Feather’ are among the films that are on the silver screen at Art and Experience Cinemas.

Internationally noted Iranian female director Ida Panahandeh is from the Iranian city of Khoy.

Aida Panahandeh’s ‘Nahid’ as Iran’s only representative was screened at the Un Certain Regard sidebar of the 68th Cannes International Film Festival, winning a prize for debut films.

In 2016, Hong Kong International Film Festival granted a nomination to Panahandeh for her directorial debut.

‘Israfil’ is Panahandeh’s other prominent film which has won awards at various international film festivals.
